Designer Purses n Bags

It might sound a bit bold but I think 2009 is going to be a totally different year when it comes to bags. Sure, we are seeing bags in all shapes, sizes and colours from practically all designers and yet there is no specific trend which shouts out for attention. I would think the New Year will also be a defining year for designer purses and we will go back to having 1 IT designer tote!

Now I can see you nodding your head as you feel this makes sense but that does not mean that the number of designer bags available to us is going to become fewer in number!

Some of the contenders for the top rung for designers’ bag for 2009 include the Stella McCartney Textured tote which comes both in red and black. Another designer purse which makes me sit up and take notice is the Burberry Cartridge Pleat tote that has extensive detailing and just the right bit of shine to make it through the evening as well. My third choice is very different from the first two and focuses on spacious form and an exciting colour which is what the Marni Medium Balloon bag has in store for us.

The trend for 2009 when it comes to designers’ bags and purses is likely to revolve around comfort, smooth finish and primary colours. I just can’t wait to see how 2009 fares!
