Best Designer bags for 2010

2010 is going to be a tough year for handbags as there are too many cheap designer bags flooding the markets and you can find them both in the China markets of Kuala Lumpur, the night markets in Bangkok, fashion street markets in Hong Kong right down to the corner side seller in Manhattan. Brands are also becoming aware of the recession and that people are now moving towards spending less or at least making it look like they are spending less. One of the brands which are probably going to make it through 2010 are Louis Vuitton handbags as they are more iconic than any other bags around.

Other brands are likely to compete quite furiously with each other. Coach handbags in 2010 are all about breaking away from the trademark brown and black and going Technicolor…and it seems to be working as the bright colors of the new Coach collection tends to make an average day perk up. Prada handbags on the other hand are trying to shed their traditional image but are not being able to get there with their black trimming and transparent vinyl look which is just so passé.

The year 2010 is also likely to belong to vintage as many fashionistas are likely to give their cupboards a complete look through and come out with some amazing pieces of hand gear. Designer bags in 2010 are likely to include some newer brands as well such as Furla with its practical shaped bag, Mulburry with its warm quilted look and Kenneth Cole with its detailed stitching and neutral colors. On the size front, most bags will remain in the small to mid size category and the large carry-alls are likely to be seen at airports and with celebrity mothers where they double up as a diaper bag as well!
